Another photo session! They just keep happening. Fortunately, armed with some new gear and a bit off preparation, I was feeling ready for this one - I will admit, though, once the sun came up in full force, I got a little worried about the harsh lighting and the clear skies. It’s good weather for an outdoor party, but quite unforgiving in a shooting environment.
Anyways, the Fleming family has always commissioned a family photo session for their annual Christmas cards. This year, I was asked to take the photos, and although there wasn’t any snow on the ground (it had melted hours earlier), we still managed to sneak in a bunch of good shots for the cards. A note about location: it’s probably the hardest thing to decide where to shoot. You got to look for a good mix of scenery, along with a setting that matched the group style (urban, nature, outdoorsy, etc), and you have to make sure it’s accessible for all the girls wearing ridiculous high heels. This was shot at the Conestoga Country Club, but I’m always on the lookout for more places. If you have any locations you’ve seen in the area, let me know! I’d appreciate it tons!
